Frederick Kim grew up in Northern California. While training as a physician he wrote a short story for “Star Trek” that was published by Pocket Books, and decided being a writer was a lot more fun.

Since then his tv pilots and spec teleplays have been recognized by the Austin Film Festival, Screenwriting Expo, Script Pipeline, and TrackingB writing competitions. His most recent story for comics will be appearing in Great Zombies in History, from McFarland Press, in Spring of 2013.
